Online booking for UK therapists
Clients book their own sessions while you're in the room with someone else. New enquiries arrive with the paperwork already on its way to them. You stop being the scheduling bottleneck of your own practice.
Built for UK therapists, counsellors and counselling agencies. Two things sit in every plan: your own booking page for new enquiries, and a private booking link for each of the clients you already see. From £10.99/month inc VAT solo; £49.99/month inc VAT flat for agencies of up to 25 therapists.
No credit card required. Cancel any time.

Two front doors for new enquiries
You get two acquisition surfaces in every plan, and they share the same pipeline behind them. Enquiries from either one land in the same place; the automations that follow are the same. Which surface a prospect uses is their choice, not yours to prescribe.
Option 1: a page on your own web address (hosted)
You get your own web address — sessionly.uk/book/your-name — for a page that presents your practice, not Sessionly's brand. Add your photo, credentials, tagline and bio; set the page's colour to your practice colour. Send the address to a new prospect, put it on your own website, add it to your Google profile, or link to it from an external directory listing. When they arrive, the page does the introductory work for you.
A page you promote yourself, not a directory listing
Sessionly doesn't run a marketplace where clients search for a therapist. You supply the traffic — from wherever your name lives — and the page captures the enquiry, tells you about it, and starts the paperwork. That way, the introduction stays in your hands: no competing therapists appearing alongside you, no platform between you and the person reading about your practice.
Option 2: an enquiry form on your own website (embedded)
If you already have a website — a Squarespace page, a WordPress site, whatever your practice runs on — you might not want to send prospects off it to an elsewhere-hosted page. Sessionly gives you an iframe snippet you paste into your own site and the form lives inside your website. Same enquiry pipeline, same client record on submission, same automations behind it — just wearing your site's frame instead of ours.
You pick the colour, the font (Newsreader, Playfair Display, DM Serif, Instrument Sans, Georgia or system default), the corner radius and whether the background is solid or transparent, so it visually belongs on your page. You list the domains that are allowed to embed it — anywhere else that tries is refused. And you set the privacy-policy URL the form points at, so consent goes to your privacy notice, not a generic one.
Take enquiries first, or let people book straight in — you decide
The page has two settings and you pick which one it uses. If you'd rather speak to every new enquiry before they get anywhere near your calendar, keep the page in its default state — visitors submit a short form and the enquiry lands in one place in Sessionly for you to review. Nothing books itself into your diary. You decide, on your own timing, whether to accept or dismiss each one.
If you'd rather people book their first session themselves — a free introductory call, a first assessment, a standard session, whichever kinds of appointment you've said are appropriate for a new client — turn that on. The visitor confirms their email address with a 6-digit code before anything is committed (so bots and mistyped addresses stop there), and then picks a slot from the times you've made available. Same page, two policies. Both are legitimate ways to run a practice.
What happens when the enquiry lands
You get a new client in Sessionly without lifting a finger. The record is made, the contact details logged, and — if you've configured them — the paperwork you usually send by hand is already on its way to the person you haven't met yet.
When you've let people book straight in
As soon as a new prospect confirms their email address:
- Sessionly creates the client record for you, marked as a new enquiry, with their contact details and the kind of appointment they chose already attached.
- Sessionly emails them a private booking link — a page only they can see, secured with a 4-digit PIN, showing only the times you've made available.
- Sessionly can automatically send your agreement and intake forms the moment someone books, so the paperwork is landing in their inbox while you're still finishing the session before theirs.
When you've chosen enquiry-only
Every enquiry lands in one place in Sessionly, ready for you to look at when you have a gap. Each one shows the type of enquiry, the contact details and whatever the visitor wrote you. When you accept it, Sessionly creates the client record for you — marked as a new enquiry — and the same automatic paperwork carries on from there. If it isn't someone you want to take on, dismiss it and it's gone.
The clients you already see, booking themselves
This is where most of the reclaimed time lives. For every client you're seeing regularly, you generate a private booking link and share it with them. Each link is secured with a 4-digit PIN emailed to the client; each one shows only the times you've made bookable, not your whole calendar. Clients book, reschedule or cancel their own sessions — single or recurring — within the notice you require and up to a cap on future cancellations you set. Your evenings stop being spent replying to reschedule emails.
Self-booking in an agency
Your therapists stop being scheduling admins for their own caseloads. In a UK counselling agency or CIC, private booking links work exactly as they do for a solo therapist: leadership or the assigned therapist generates the link once, the client uses it to book, reschedule or cancel their own sessions with the therapist they've been assigned to — against that therapist's working hours and buffer times, not anyone else's.
For new enquiries, the take-enquiries-only setting is the one to use in an agency. A new visitor to your public page can't sensibly book themselves in until leadership has decided which therapist to assign them to. So the enquiry lands in one place in Sessionly; leadership reviews it, assigns it to the right therapist, and only then does the client get their own private booking link.
From that point on, everything runs exactly as it does for a solo practice — the client books their own sessions, the assigned therapist sees their diary fill, the paperwork lands in the client's inbox automatically.
Where the data goes
To your practice. Nowhere else. What lands from your booking page goes to your account only — Sessionly doesn't resell, aggregate or route enquiries to third parties.
All client records and clinical data are stored on UK/EU servers in the London region. Optional features that rely on named third-party processors outside the UK/EEA (AI-assisted note structuring, Google Calendar sync, public-form bot protection) are disclosed in the privacy policy.
Contact details submitted through the booking page are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM). BACP-aligned retention defaults apply from the moment a record is created.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to let people book without speaking to me first?
No. You choose. You can set the page to take enquiries only — nothing appears in your diary; each enquiry waits in one place in Sessionly for you to accept before it becomes a client. Or you can set the page to let people book straight in — when a new prospect confirms their email address with a 6-digit code, Sessionly creates the client record for you, marked as a new enquiry, and emails them a private booking link so they can pick a slot. Both options exist because both are legitimate ways to run a practice; pick the one that matches how you want new enquiries to feel.
What happens when someone books or enquires — do I have to do anything?
If you've set the page to bookable, the new client's record is already in Sessionly by the time you look, marked as a new enquiry, with their contact details, the kind of appointment they've chosen and any notes they left. If you've configured them, Sessionly can automatically send your agreement and intake forms the moment someone books, so the paperwork is on its way to them before you've even seen the enquiry. If you've set the page to enquiry-only, the enquiry sits in one place in Sessionly waiting for you; when you accept it, the same automatic follow-ups run.
Can I put my photo and bio on the page — or is it all Sessionly-branded?
It's your page, not ours. You add a display name, professional credentials (post-nominals or accrediting body), a short tagline, a bio you can write across several paragraphs, and a photo. The page's colour follows the brand colour you've set for your practice. A visitor reading it sees you, not Sessionly.
Does this work for an agency with multiple therapists?
Yes for the clients you already have; partly for new enquiries. For clients you're already seeing, private booking links work identically in an agency: leadership or the assigned therapist generates the link once, the client uses it to book, reschedule or cancel their own sessions with the assigned therapist. For new enquiries through the public page, the take-enquiries-only mode is the one to use in an agency — an enquiry can't sensibly book itself in until someone in leadership has chosen which therapist to assign it to. Once assigned, that client gets their own booking link and everything runs as it does for a solo practice.
What does this cost? Do you take a cut of session fees?
No cut. No per-booking fee. Sessionly's solo plan is £10.99/month inc VAT; the agency plan is £49.99/month inc VAT flat, for up to 25 therapists. That's the whole software cost — the booking page and the client-side booking links are included, not add-ons. Anything a client pays you goes to you (via whatever payment processor you use); Sessionly isn't between you and them financially.
Where does client data end up?
All client records and clinical data are stored on UK/EU servers in the London region. Optional features that rely on named third-party processors outside the UK/EEA (AI-assisted note structuring, Google Calendar sync, public-form bot protection) are disclosed in the privacy policy. Contact details submitted through the booking page are encrypted at rest; BACP-aligned retention defaults apply from the moment a record is created.
Can I move an existing client onto self-booking without giving them my whole calendar?
Yes. Each client gets their own private booking link, secured with a 4-digit PIN sent to them by email. They only see the times you make available for booking — not your full calendar — and only the kinds of appointment you've said are appropriate for them. You set the notice they must give to reschedule or cancel, and a cap on how many times they can cancel a future session before the link stops accepting cancellations.
